Systema

I see the videos on youtube and I read all the little comments underneath. I have trained with Sonny Puzikas and Max Franz. The shit works and I like it. However, it is like any other form of self-defense. You only get from it what you put in. If  you dont put in the work and the effort, hell no you wont be good or effective at it. Is it the cure all? Hell no, but as a warrior you need to be adaptive and overcome all situations by constant training and improving in techniques. So thats my opinion on the subject for all the people who want to fight on youtube. Let's spend less time fighting on youtube and go out and do the shit. Spend less time playing call of duty and put some money into a weapons platform. Then you can quit fighting over gun types and calibers and realize that someone highly trained can kill with any form of a gun. Like the Rollins Band song "just do it".

Firing positions

The infantryman looks for two things in a firing postion-concealment for himself and his weapon and a wide field of fire. His assessment of any situation must be second nature.

Urban movement techniques

Looking around corners is a quick way to get killed. So, do it ground level.

When your crossing a wall, you want to keep a low profile. Roll over it, with your body flat.

Watch your head, when you pass by ground floor windows. Always be sure to keep our head well down below the level of the sill.

Watch your feet, basement windows can be a source of danger. Look for them and always be sure you dont expose your legs to view. Either jump over the window or find another means to step above them.

Dont use doorways if you can avoid it. If you have to pick out your next position before you set out.

Seven life-saving rules of movement

In combat and especially in an urban environment, use these seven tips to help stay alive.

1 Never allow yourself to be seen in silhouette, and keep low at all times.
2 Avoid open spaces.
3 Select your next position in cover before you make your move.
4 Hide your movements anyway you can.
5 Move fast.
6 Stay clear of covering fire.
7 Be alert and ready for anything.

If nothing else atleast look first, move later.
