blues clues

I didn't even want this to be my first post, It just happened that way. Some things are like that. However,
what caught my eye was some of the local police. Yes, I come from a small town, I don't have to worry about alot of crime, and I am thankful for that. What upset me was, in my opinion, their lack of professionalism.  For instance, they use the local gas station as their own private hang out. What's wrong with that? May be nothing to some people. May be blocking the pumps and parking spots closet to the doors in winter time, matters to others. Having to squeeze by them when they block the aisle, doesn't bother some people but what about trying to pay for something when they are busy flirting with the cashier?
However, this is not the behavior that I deem as unprofessional. I see police, first responders, and military
as warriors. As warriors, I think they should act like warriors. There is a warrior saying "when you go out the door, it is like seeing the enemy". In my opinion, they are letting their guard down. Any two-bit criminal with a beef knows where to find them. Can't happen to me or happen here? Ask the four officers gunned down in a coffee house outside seattle. With a growing increase in 911 calls leading cops into ambushes, these cops are making the job easier for the criminals. Crooks won't take on the cops, you say. I will have to refer you the growing violence in Mexico. How about the fight between Hemet, California cops and criminals detailed in an article in The Counter Terrorist magazine. So yes, I believe the threat is real. Will it happen? I hope not.
And, in my opinon, I believe that by putting yourself first before the people you are suppose to protect is not unprofessonal. It is unwarrior like. Thus, by blocking the pumps and aisle, I don't respect anymore than
the criminals, Have a nice day.
